Assistant Pastor

Elder Samuel Rogers

Elder Samuel C. Rogers is the product of the Apostolic Sunday School under the teaching of the late Pastor Jenny Foster at the Believers in Christ Tabernacle Church;  his childhood rooted and grounded in the Truth.  Saved under the ministry of the late Suffragan Bishop Joseph D. Farris and called to ministry in 1995, he has been involved in various areas of the church including bus driver, kitchen worker, Hospitality Committee, Sunday school teacher, and Altar Worker.  Elder Rogers sings in the Male Chorus and ministers at street meetings and in nursing homes.

Elder Rogers is a licensed Elder of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, and by God’s grace, was elevated to Assistant Pastor in 2006. Endeavoring to serve God and His people faithfully, he oversees the Outreach Ministry, the Ministerial Alliance, the Sick and Shut-in Ministry, and the Jail and Prison Ministry while holding up the Pastor’s arms.  An encourager to all, his most endearing phrase to everyone in reference to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is, “Ain’t HE Good?!?!  There’s nobody like JESUS!”

Elder Rogers has been married to Sister Betty Rogers for forty-one years.  From this union they have four sons and two daughters.  Sister Rogers was saved in 1978 At Believers in Christ Apostolic Church.  In 1986, she became a member of Zion Tabernacle Apostolic Church.  A former student of Aenon Bible College, she too is very busy in the church serving in various capacities.  She has worked with the Outreach Food Pantry, taught Sunday School for thirty years, and served as President of the Ministers’ & Official Board’s Wives and Widow’s Auxiliary.  Currently she works with the Baptismal Committee, serves as the Assistant Secretary of the Sunday School Department, remains a member of the Ministers’ & Official Boards Wives & Widows Auxiliary, and heads the Bereavement Committee.  Sis. Rogers loves the Lord and Gods people, and is committed to working until the day is done.
